Josef Mengele - The Angel of Death

Josef Mengele, a notorious Nazi physician and SS officer, gained the haunting moniker "Angel of Death" for his heinous experiments and inhumane treatment of prisoners during the Holocaust. Stationed primarily at Auschwitz, he conducted sadistic medical experiments on Jewish inmates, particularly twins, in an attempt to prove his twisted theories of Aryan supremacy. His ruthless and barbaric actions, including selections for gas chambers, earned him infamy as one of the most abhorrent figures in human history. After the war, he managed to evade capture for decades, leading a fugitive existence under assumed identities and evading justice until his death in Brazil in 1979.
