The Lawless Early Days of Aviation

The early days of aviation were a lawless time. There were no regulations governing the operation of airplanes, and pilots were free to fly wherever and however they wanted. This led to a number of accidents, as well as conflicts between pilots and landowners. In 1910, the United States Congress passed the first federal aviation law, which established some basic rules for the operation of airplanes. However, it was not until the 1920s that the government began to seriously regulate the aviation industry.
