Ernst Röhm - Lord of the Sa

Ernst Röhm, known as the "Lord of the SA," was a key figure in the early history of Nazi Germany. As the leader of the Sturmabteilung (SA), the paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party, Röhm commanded a vast and loyal following. Röhm's ambitions and ideological radicalism, however, clashed with those of Adolf Hitler, who saw him as a threat to his own authority. In 1934, Hitler orchestrated the Night of the Long Knives, a purge in which Röhm and other SA leaders were executed. While Röhm's legacy remains controversial, his role in the rise of Nazism and the violence that accompanied it cannot be ignored.
