Nazi Prejudice and Propaganda – The Racist Crimes Against the "Children of Shame"

Nazi propaganda portrayed children with disabilities or genetic disorders as "Children of Shame", an inferior, "degenerate" part of society. These children and their families faced severe prejudice, institutionalization, forced sterilizations, and in some cases, extermination. Doctors deemed these children "unworthy of life" and carried out horrific medical experiments on them. The aim was to create a "pure" Aryan race, but this racist ideology led to the extermination of millions of Jews, Roma, people with disabilities, and other marginalized groups.
