When Henry VIII Fell in Love With Anne Boleyn

Henry VIII fell in love with Anne Boleyn in the early 1520s. He was so taken with her that he sought to annul his marriage to Catherine of Aragon and marry Anne instead. After years of waiting and much opposition, Henry eventually succeeded in marrying Anne in 1533. This union marked the beginning of the Church of England, as Henry had broken away from the Catholic Church in order to marry Anne. Their marriage lasted for three years before Anne was beheaded on charges of adultery. Despite their brief time together, Henry remained deeply in love with Anne until his death in 1547.
