Ukraine's Radioactive City: The Next Chernobyl?

Pripyat, a city in northern Ukraine, has been deserted since the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986, when a reactor explosion released radioactive particles into the atmosphere. The city, once home to nearly 50,000 people, was evacuated and remains a ghost town, with abandoned buildings, empty streets, and overgrown vegetation. The exclusion zone around Chernobyl, including Pripyat, is still contaminated with radiation, and entry is restricted. Despite the dangers, some people have illegally returned to live in the area, raising concerns about the long-term health effects of radiation exposure.
