Guy Fawkes - Remember Remember the 5th of November

Guy Fawkes, a member of a group of English Catholics who plotted to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London on November 5, 1605, is remembered each year on Bonfire Night, also known as Guy Fawkes Night or Fireworks Night. The plot, known as the Gunpowder Plot, was discovered the night before it was to be carried out, and Fawkes was arrested while guarding the explosives. He was subsequently tortured and executed, along with other conspirators. The event is commemorated with bonfires, fireworks displays, and the burning of an effigy of Fawkes, often accompanied by the chant "Remember, remember the 5th of November, gunpowder treason and plot. We see no reason why gunpowder treason should ever be forgot."
