The Six Day War: Israel Vs Egypt

The Six-Day War was a defining moment in the history of the Middle East. Fought between Israel and a coalition of Arab states led by Egypt, it lasted from June 5 to 10, 1967. Israel launched a preemptive strike against Egypt, destroying much of its air force on the ground, and went on to capture the Sinai Peninsula, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and the Golan Heights. The war was a massive victory for Israel, but it also created a complex and volatile political situation that continues to this day, as the territories captured by Israel have become the subject of ongoing disputes and negotiations.
