The Fatal Protest of Emily Davison

Emily Davison, a prominent suffragette, tragically lost her life during the 1913 Epsom Derby in a desperate attempt to bring attention to the cause of women's suffrage in the United Kingdom. As King George V's horse, Anmer, approached Tattenham Corner, Davison stepped onto the track and attempted to grab its reins, resulting in a horrific collision that left her severely injured. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries four days later, becoming a martyr for the suffrage movement and forever etching her name in the annals of history.
