Did King Richard Iii Really Murder His Own Nephews?

The death of King Edward V and his younger brother, Richard, Duke of York, in the Tower of London in 1483 remains one of the most enduring mysteries in British history. The boys, known as the "Princes in the Tower," disappeared after their uncle, Richard, Duke of Gloucester, took control of the throne as King Richard III. While some historians believe that Richard ordered the boys' deaths, there is no definitive evidence to prove his guilt. Others maintain that the boys were killed by someone else, possibly Henry Tudor, who later became King Henry VII. The mystery surrounding the princes' deaths has inspired numerous works of literature, including Shakespeare's "Richard III."
